GrugTech

Field Manual β€” v1

No more round trips.
Stop thinking,
start winning.

GrugBot tracks your token positions and pings you when it's time to sell β€” a staged exit plan, not autopilot. You still pull the trigger. Grug just makes sure you remember to.

πŸ”‘

Any wallet worksGrug only ever reads a public address β€” no connecting, no signing, no private key. A browser wallet or one a trading bot generated and controls both work the same way.

⏳

Built for runners, not 2x flipsGrugBot's first alert fires at 3x in Fast Mode (5x Normal, 10x Hero), then walks you out in stages. If you flip at 1.5-2x and exit fully, GrugBot has nothing to say. If a token runs, Fast Mode is built for it: sell a third at 3x and keep going.

01 Getting started

Setup

Three steps, in order.

1

Set your wallet β€” /setwallet YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS

  • Grug scans this wallet once, immediately, for tokens already sitting in it
  • Ethereum, Base, and Robinhood Chain tokens are all picked up automatically on that scan
  • For each one, Grug messages you to pick a mode β€” and protection, if you're Tier2+ β€” see Protection Modes below
2

Bought something new? Hit refresh.

Open /portfolio and tap πŸ”„ Refresh. Grug only looks for new tokens when asked β€” right after /setwallet, or any time you refresh β€” then sends the same mode/protection prompt. Or skip auto-detect and add a position by hand with /addtoken, entering the exact USD spent for an accurate entry price and picking mode/protection during that flow.

3

Check your tier β€” /tier

Your $GRUG balance decides which modes and protections you can run. See the tier table below.

Turn notifications on. Every alert β€” stage triggers, DCA blends, Safe/Kill Mode β€” is a normal Telegram message. If Telegram notifications are off or the chat is muted, Grug still sends the ping, you just never see it. After a stage triggers, Grug repeats a reminder every hour until you’ve sold what’s owed β€” but the first alert tells you exactly what to sell, so don’t let it sit unread. Check your device and Telegram notification settings, and don't mute this chat.
Already sold some before adding it? /addtoken asks which stages you already hit, so Grug picks the plan up from where you actually are instead of restarting at S1.
02 Getting the price right

Fixing your entry price

/addtoken never asks how many tokens you hold β€” it reads your real on-chain balance for that token itself. All you provide is the total USD you actually spent, and Grug divides that by your balance to get your entry price.

why it drifts
Auto-detect prices a newly-found token at whatever the market rate was the moment it saw it β€” not what you actually paid. If you bought earlier, at a different price, or across a few buys, that basis is wrong.
how to fix it
Run /addtoken again for the same token on the same chain, and enter the real total USD spent across all your buys so far.
what happens
If your on-chain balance hasn't changed since Grug last saw it, this overwrites the entry price instead of creating a duplicate position.
This only works before S1 hits. Once a position locks at Stage 1, its entry price and token count are frozen for good. /addtoken can no longer correct it β€” running it again just opens a separate position for anything bought after that point. Get the basis right before S1, not after.
03 The exit ladder

How stages work

Your entry price locks the moment a position hits Stage 1 β€” that's also when Grug starts pinging you to sell.

Buy more before S1

Blends in βœ“

Averages into one position with a new blended entry price.

Buy more after S1

New position βœ•

Opens a separate position. Grug calls this gambling on the same rock twice β€” not recommended.

When a trigger hits, Grug tells you exactly how many tokens to sell and reminds you every hour until you've sold them. Stage 1 is sized to recoup your initial investment β€” hit it, and that position is at breakeven or better. Want this table without leaving the chat? Send /modes any time.

How stage timing works

You sell manually; Grug just reminds you. Sell in as many chunks as you like: Grug stays quiet while you work through it and confirms once you've sold the day's amount. Reminders say exactly how many tokens you still need to catch up.

  • S1 and S2 are one-day stages. Sell the full amount within a day. If it's worth over $5,000, sell it in chunks rather than dumping it all at once. That's just advice; price staying strong is what makes chunking pay off.
  • S3 and S4 are three-day stages. The alert gives the stage total and the amount per day. If the whole stage is worth under $10,000, don't wait three days: sell it all in one day, in chunks.
  • Sell as soon as the alert hits, whether price went up or down since. Once a stage triggers, the plan is the plan. On days 2 and 3 of a multi-day stage, sell what's owed regardless of price action.
  • Sold the whole stage early? You get a confirmation right away, and the reminders stop. No need to wait out the remaining days.
If a stage interrupts another

Price jumps and hits the next stage before the current one finishes selling? The old plan stops and the new alert says so. Anything you hadn't sold rolls into the new stage's total, and the alert tells you how much (β€œincludes X left from stage N”). The new stage's total is then spread over its own days.

Sold 20% S3 now sells 60% (20% carried + 40% own), about 20% per day over 3 days
Example: Normal Mode S2 target was 40%, only 20% sold before S3 triggered.

Reading your portfolio

Every open position shows the same six fields. Tap πŸ”„ Refresh any time to re-check prices, update balances, and pull in tokens bought since your last check.

multiplier Β· stage
Current gain and which stage of the mode you're in right now.
position size
Tokens held and their current USD value.
% of supply
How much of the token's total supply your holding represents.
days in stage
How long you've sat at the current stage, plus the market cap needed to trigger the next one.
eth + weth
Your combined native + wrapped ETH balance across all chains, shown once at the top.
05 Stuck positions

Protection modes

If a protected position never reaches its next stage, protection eventually steps in and starts exiting it for you. It never activates in a position's final stage β€” by then the plan is already closing on its own.

Protection is opt-in, not automatic β€” you choose it per position. Auto-detect a token and Grug messages you right away to pick a mode; Tier2+ then gets a follow-up None / Safe / Kill prompt for that position. Adding one yourself with /addtoken asks the same thing during that flow. Either way, answer the prompt when it arrives β€” protection can only be set the moment a position is created, so an unanswered picker leaves that position unprotected for good.

Grug's rules

Do

  • βœ“ DCA before S1 β€” position blends with an averaged entry
  • βœ“ Follow the pings β€” sell on schedule
  • βœ“ Sell the moment a stage triggers β€” whether price went up or down since the ping, sell your clip right away. Waiting for a "better" price is exactly how a gain round-trips back to zero.
  • βœ“ On a multi-day sell (S3+), sell every day on schedule β€” each day's portion goes out regardless of that day's price action. A dip doesn't mean skip it, a pump doesn't mean you're already done.
  • βœ“ Exit with profits β€” take the win and move on

Don't

  • βœ• Buy more after S1 hits β€” that's gambling on the same rock twice
  • βœ• Ignore Safe/Kill alerts β€” let the position exit safely instead of hoping
